The project helps farmers to improve the existing food crop production by using organic farming techniques, which do not affect the environment. We
realize it in collaboration with research institute in our area.Hence farmer are able to get proper solutions for their farming problems they face
(i.e. diseases, pest and vermin.)
Interventions on crop improvement target people's traditional crops.
Apart from crop improvement REDESO trains people on post harvesting storage and intervention in order to reduce wastage of foodstuffs especially during
bumper harvest.
REDESO promotes the improvement of indigenous vegetables and fruits in order to raise community nutrition status. If water streams exist, fish farming
will be promoted by using Tilapia nilotica. A fish species, which is tolerant to harsh condition of ponds.
Apart from fish farming farmers are also actively engaged in beekeeping activities.
